Delhi: At SEMICON India 2026, Rajeev Gautam, President of HORIBA India Private Limited, says, "We started 5 years back this semiconductor journey with PM Modi's initiatives and everything, and they brought Semi ISO, some ISM 1.0. I think government made a mistake by just putting, just, say, manufacturing, and then they quickly realized, unless you don't have the ecosystem for this thing, so you need material, you need gases, you need equipment, you need raw material, you need talent to do that. Coming back to HORIBA, we are part of the ecosystem of, of manufacturing, chip manufacturing, semi-manufacturing. We have been in Japan for 73 years..."
